The Swamp Dwellers pokes our ribs and hearts. It lays bare before us, our frailties, hypocrisy, complacency and at best futile attempt to crawl out of those self dug dignity holes.
The one who dares to think differently is a homeless blind beggar who is willing to reclaim the soil from the flood but warned not to claim the food of the gods by his host Makuri.
When a society is pervaded by the corrupt political and spiritual leaders and shepherds, where the throng of masses are too docile or consider it blasphemous to seek solutions though rigorous interrogations plays with themes such as this become veritable tools of intervention.
The Swamp Dwellers uproots our very being and shakes it to its placid core. It confirms the fact that the theatre is a social laboratory. It confronts us with a reality we are either too proud or timid to confront. it urges us like Igweizu and the Beggar to QUESTION THE ANSWER!

Pro World Concept’s Young Entrepreneurs Summit [YES] is back; Bigger and Better!
Pro World Concept (PWC)’s flagship Entrepreneurial program will be live in Lagos, at the University of Lagos on the 18th of August 2017.
This will be the 5th edition of the event which was formerly dubbed World Entrepreneurs’ Day and had previously held in both Ibadan and Lagos. The rebranding of the annual conference became necessary with the need to identify young people as an integral part of the economic rejuvenation process
According to the Managing Partner and Head of Communications, Lanre Atiba, the youths had become as restive Lions that needed to be awakened and roar to life, “The human resource potential in Nigeria is enormous, our population demography shows that a very large proportion of people fall within the youth category that is 16-35, and there is so much untapped potentials that needs to find expression amongst our youth, this is the only way we can come out of the recession as a nation.
Speaking on the backing the program will receive, Mr. Lanre Atiba explains that all hands are on deck to ensure the program is highly successful, “we are partnering with some top corporate organizations as well as government agencies, we don’t want to mention names now for obvious reasons, but when the time is right, you will see what we have done”
The Young Entrepreneurs Summit will welcome participants from other tertiary institutions around the Lagos province such as Lagos University, University of Lagos and Yaba College of Technology and other southwestern states as well as entrepreneurs and working class people.
Ephraim Abutu, Head of Operations explains the strategic approach of the program regarding key areas of entrepreneurship. “What we have done is to ensure that there are no stone unturned, we have contacted individuals and organizations from several target sectors including technology, entertainment, governance, agriculture and corporate finance to ensure that participants benefit from a well rounded discourse and we also are going one step further to ensure track-able results from the summit as participants will gain access to internship opportunities, personal development trainings, Business loans and grants as well as free courses with International institutions like MIT(Massachusetts Institute of Technology), it’s going to be a full packaged program with more emphasis on action and less on talk, so young people in and around Lagos should watch out”
Team Leader on Campus projects, Tobi Aminu reinforced the need for young business minded individuals to get involved with the summit. “This event is for tertiary students, youth corpers and even working class employees. The truth is that success has secrets, and there are only few people who attain this success; This is because very few people know the secrets of success, the others just want to jump into the job market and start receiving offers or getting contracts. In this summit, participants will not only learn this success secrets from the exemplary group of speakers we have on board, but will also be empowered through the free courses and scholarships we have obtained from organizations like UrbizEdge in Partnership with Microsoft, MIT, CareerMi Institute Texas, USA, Toolz Academy and Cloud Computing Experts (CTE) as well as other job internship opportunities”.
He adds, “The benefits of programs like this cannot be over-emphasized, some lucky entrepreneurs will get access to angel investors and venture capitalists who would be happy to support their initiatives and even mentor them”
On the registration process for the Summit, The Head of IT, Mr. Stephen Ogah said registration has not formally begun, but the portal would be up in due time, “We haven’t started registration yet for the program, but the link would be up soonest. The registration isn’t free, it isn’t expensive either; just a token… what some people will call recharge card money. This is simply because we want our participants to have value for what they stand to benefit from this program. Details for registration will be communicated shortly”
